『塩原元湯の元泉館』で16時位までノンビリした後はこの日の〆、『奥塩原新湯温泉』の『中の湯』へ。
After taking a non-billy ride at about 16 o’clock at Shiobara Motoyu’s Motosenkan, go to Nakanoyu of Okushiobara Shinyu Onsen on this day.

これぐらいの時間なら宿泊者は夕食や取り敢えず入浴しても宿の風呂に入るだろうと予測しました。
道路からは混浴の『寺の湯』が分かりやすいので有名です。私も『寺の湯』へは何度行ったか数えられませんが、『中の湯』は今回2度目の入湯です。『中の湯』は旅館の裏手にあります。
For this time, guests predicted that they would take a bath at the inn even if they had dinner or just take a bath.
It is famous for the mixed bathing of “Tera no Yu” from the road because it is easy to understand. I can’t count how many times I went to “Tenoyu”, but “Nakanoyu” is my second hot spring this time. Nakanoyu is located behind the inn.

この地域の宿泊者は無料、外来者は300円を箱に入れます。18時まで入浴出来るので1時間半以上入れる時間に到着しました。
Guests in this area are free, and out-of-home visitors are charged 300 yen. I arrived at the time to enter for more than one and a half hours because I could take a bath until 18:00.

16時15分頃から17時30頃までの滞在時間中ずっと貸し切り状態でした。
It was reserved throughout the stay from around 16:15 to around 17:30.
『中の湯』はこじんまりとした男女別浴の外湯です。下段の写真は源泉コックを最大に開いた状態ですが此処まで開くと源泉が激熱なのであっという間に湯温が上がります。この季節はチョロチョロ出しておく位で丁度良い感じでした。
湧出直後は無色透明ですが酸化する事で白濁します。
Nakanoyu is a small bath for men and women. The bottom photo shows the source cock fully opened, but if you open it up to this point, the hot water will rise quickly because the source is intensely heated. In this season, it was just good enough to put it out.
Immediately after springing, it is colorless and transparent, but becomes turbid due to oxidation.
中の湯4
『元泉館』の露天風呂でぬる湯に浸かっていたことも有り、はじめは加水しないと入れない状態でしたが、44～45度位まで下げて身体を慣らしたら問題なかったです。
I was soaked in lukewarm water in the open-air bath of “Gensenkan”. At first, I couldn’t enter it without adding water, but it was fine if I lowered it to 44-45 degrees and got used to my body.
この湯を300円で独占出来るとはなんと贅沢なのでしょう(*´▽｀*)。宇都宮に住んでいた頃は月に1～２回は『寺の湯』に来ていました。因みに下の方にある『ムジナの湯』へも何度か入りましたが。今は泉温が下がってしまい入れないようです（2019年7月25日現在）。
How luxurious it is to be able to monopolize this hot water for 300 yen (* ‘▽ ｀ *). When I lived in Utsunomiya, I came to “Tenoyu” once or twice a month. By the way, I went to “Mujina no Yu” at the bottom several times. It seems that the spring temperature has fallen and cannot be entered now (as of July 25, 2019).
『中の湯』には成分分析表の掲出は有りませんでしたが、たしか『寺の湯』には『含硫黄酸性アルミニウム泉』と書いてあったように記憶しています。すぐ隣の旅館『白樺』のHPでは『単純酸性硫黄泉（硫化水素型）』と記されています。源泉温度は79度と高温です。夏場は源泉コックを絞り気味にしないと入れないですね(^^;)。
Although “Nakanoyu” did not have a component analysis table posted, I remember that “Teranoyu” was written as “Sulfur-containing acidic aluminum spring”. On the website of the inn “Shirakaba” right next to it, it is described as “Simple acidic sulfur spring (hydrogen sulfide type)” The source temperature is as high as 79 degrees. In the summer, I can’t enter without making the source cock squeeze (^^;).
出たり入ったりを何度も繰り返し17時半位に出ました。出た後はしばらく汗が引きませんでした(*^-^*)。本当に良い湯です。
I went in and out many times and came out at around 17:30. After leaving, I did not sweat for a while (* ^-^ *). It is really good hot water.
